<Neglected Intelligence> is a project that aims to apply Artificial Intelligence technology on topics that has not been addressed by the mainstream AI products.

Natural Language Processing(NLP) is the core technology in text/speech based Artificial Intelligence. In recent years, NLP has been adapted in AI products such as chatbots, introducing a novel way of communicating information. However, application of such technology remains functional, focused on practical, recreational purposes such as controlling devices, managing bank accounts, talking to a customer service robot, etc.

<Neglected Intelligence> aims to apply NLP and chatbot technology in areas that current commercial AI chatbots never cared to give response to, such as social issues and marginalized population. This chatbot is designed to focus on the topic of North Korean refugees(defectors) in South Korea.
